This butterfly is evidently in flight, as the Green Hairstreak holds its wings closed when at rest.
Made of bright green, brown and white resin panels which sparkle
subtly in the sunlight, this specimen has silver wire detailing which
matches the 7 hollow, silver alloy chimes which hang below a silver wire
coil. The chimes are threaded on knitted white nylon line.
The striker is a clear, acrylic ball which generates soft
tinkling tones when activated by the wind catcher below - a shiny,
emerald green glass marble.
Hangs on a silver alloy chain with a hook at the top for ease of hanging.
